mdDigest started in 2008 with a mission to enhance the the delivery of healthcare with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Since then we have built the application adding  functionality and are now ready to support hundreds of thousands of sites and help manage tens of millions of lives every day.

Everything you see here, from the documentation to the code itself, was created by and for the community. mdDigest is a Supported Open Source project, which means there are hundreds of people all over the world working on it. (More than most commercial platforms.) It also means you are free to use it for anything from your personal practice to a multi-community hospital site without paying anyone a license fee.

We are a group of health care professionals who have a long track record in developing and managing e-health soultions for all types of organizations. We are mix of IT professionals, MD's, clinicians, and project managers. We have spent years frustrated with the high cost and poor integration of most e-health initiatives and have taken the reins to create a new and exciting solution.

On this site you will find information about the support services and commercial version for our products. We offer the e-Health Groupware solution in a free version that can be loaded on a local server, a server appliance, or accessed through our cloud-based SaaS solution. If your health organizaiton would like to test the application they can download and install the supported open source version at our community site healthforge.org.
